Meeting BSMI representatives

Day 1 in Nepal: The day was full with appointments. Since there were other NGOs in Nepal, MyCARE decided to work with them.

First we met representatives from Bulan Sabit Merah Indonesia (BSMI) and agreed on some cooperation.

Then through our contacts with Federation of Islamic Medical Association (FIMA) we met Dr. Kashim, President of Islamic Medical Association of Nepal (IMAN).

Dr. Kashim took us to visit the office of Jagrathi Children and Youth Council (JCYC). There, BSMI passed over 6 bags of medicinal items. And MyCARE had an agreement to have joint programs with JCYC in future.

At JCYC contact office. The bags contain medicines. Everyone was given a "kadah" scarf as a sign for good luck
Next we visit the field clinic of Badan Nasional Penanggulanggan Bencana (BNPB), from Indonesia. Right next to the field clinic, in Stangal, were tents for the internally displaced people.

Day 2 in Nepal:
The world is not short of people with good heart. They came from all walks of life and from all corners of the world.

It helps if we knew and befriend other NGOs, especially local NGOs. It is also a win-win situation if several NGOs cooperate in doing this works, for the disaster victims, the government and the NGOs.
